Honeyblood, formerly a four-piece band from Stockholm.

Stockholm-based two-piece Honeymilk have just released a new single ahead of their upcoming sophomore album I Want You To Be Very Happy. The upbeat garage-pop ‘Havslåten’ - which roughly translates as ‘Ocean Song’ has a catchy guitar hook, reminiscent of bands like Best Coast and Smith Westerns.

Honeymilk, now recently a two-man band, is comprised of Marcus Admund and Nikki Nyberg. They said of their new single:

“When we wrote the song, just the first two guitar parts, and we were about to save this embryo on our cell phones it got this temporary name “Havslåten” based on our totally diversified feelings for the big unknown ocean. This band’s relation to the ocean is divided – Nikki loves it more than anything else; Marcus wants to stay as far away from it as possible. Might as well keep that title?!”

The lyrics call for the better times of summer days, something which is all the more relatable now that winter in Scotland is upon us.

I Want You To Be Very Happy is out January 26th 2018 on Birds Records.
